Construction scheduling software that integrates scheduling, document management, and field reporting
Construction Scheduling Software

HeadsUp integrates scheduling information with project management activities and documents

HeadsUp is the only construction scheduling software that uses a patent pending Critical Path Method scheduler which links project management activities to tasks. Work site reporting of task activity is passed to the schedule where the schedule is immediately recalculated. All project staff are always viewing current scheduling information.

HeadsUp offers a variety of methods to create a schedule:

  • HeadsUp Templates (with dummy resources assigned)
  • Budgets from major construction accounting systems
  • Microsoft® Excel
  • Microsoft® Project
  • From scratch

Our software provides three schedule views:

Grid View
Gantt View
Calendar View

Each task contains:

  • Description
  • Duration
  • Predecessors
  • Successors
  • Links to Resources (multiple if needed)
  • Links to Reference documents (drawings, specifications, pictures, etc.)
  • Links to Approval documents (Contracts, Purchase Orders, RFIs, etc.)
  • Scheduled, Committed, Earned and Actual Costs (if desired)

In addition to tasks, our construction scheduling software uses summary bars and milestones to manage projects.

Field Reporting Into The Schedule

The site superintendent enters construction site information using a PDA, cell phone, or a notebook computer. The information captured on site includes:

  • Site Conditions
  • Work Crews
  • PO Deliveries
  • Time and Material
  • Task Status
Only pertinent information appears on the site superintendent’s screen. For example, only tasks that have started and those that should have started (according to the schedule) appear on the screen for the site superintendent to update.

Alerting You To Problems In The Schedule

Every night, our construction scheduling software compares the beginning of the day schedule with the most current schedule and develops alerts:

  • "Red" if a task hasn’t started, is on the critical path and past its late start date
  • "Yellow " if a task hasn’t started, is on the critical path and is approaching it’s late start date
  • "No color" if a task is starting within two weeks and is on schedule
  • "Red" if an approval document is not resolved by the due date
  • "Yellow" if an approval document is not resolved 7 days prior to the due date

Each alert links to the appropriate task or document so it can quickly be analyzed and appropriate responses can be made.

Our construction scheduling software prioritizes these alerts on the "My HeadsUp" screen. This information is filtered by user role associated with the user name and password. For example, subcontractors can only see tasks to which they are assigned. Site superintendents can only see the project(s) to which they are assigned. Project manager can only see the projects to which they are assigned. Executives can see information across all projects.

Each alert is tied directly to the task or document making it easy to analyze the situation and take appropriate action.

HeadsUp, the leader in capturing construction site status, updating schedules, and keeping everyone on the project current.
